A C Wood (Speciality Fibres) Limited is a family business that has been producing and selling hand knitting yarns for over 30 years.
We are based in Bradford UK and have family involvement in natural fibres and yarns dating back to the 1930's and the height of the UK textile trade.
We have used our knowledge of fibres and yarns to provide the highest quality yarns and have an extensive range of contacts worldwide from which to source material.
The company is now run by Adrian Wood, the third generation. Adrian's father and grandfather were top makers and speciality fibre traders. The company started spinning in the 1980's.
Our mission is to supply the best quality worsted spun natural fibre yarns for hand dyers and discerning knitters.
Our fibres are sourced from reliable material suppliers where we can establish best practise in relation to animal husbandry and the environment, as well as the best rearing and grading practices.
No animals are injured to provide our fibre as we only use shorn or material that has shed naturally from the animal.
We are based on the outskirts of Bradford in beautiful, rural West Yorkshire. The vast majority of our spinning is done in Italy as we feel that this offers the highest standard of production now available in Europe. We source the fibres that we use ourselves which we ship to Italy where we keep a close control every aspect of the production process there.
We pride ourselves on having a vast and in depth knowledge of yarns, enabling us to understand how to achieve exceptional quality which we believe is unique to our products.
Returns Policy 24/12/2016
This is for online customer sales.
If you decide you do not want your goods you can return them to us provided you let us know you want to return them within 14 calendar days from the day after delivery. If the goods are in unused condition and resaleable, we will refund you the full cost of the yarn.
To return goods please contact us first via email on firstname.lastname@example.org or call + 44 (0)1274 471274 to let us know you no longer want the goods and intend to return them.
You must return the goods to us within 14 days of telling us you no longer want them. The return is at your cost, and you need to make sure the goods are properly packaged, and sent with a reputable courier, as you are responsible for the goods until we receive them. We cannot accept any responsibility for goods that are damaged in transit before they reach us. You may wish to insure more expensive items. We can provide advice on couriers.
Once we have received the goods back from you, we will give you a refund for the cost of the product plus the delivery charge paid (except for the additional costs arising if you selected a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us). If your order was eligible for free delivery, then no refund for postage can be applied.
Items faulty on arrival. You have the option of an exchange or refund. If your items are faulty on arrival, you have 30 calendar days in which to inform us of the fault. Items should be returned in their original packaging complete with all documentation. To return faulty goods please contact us first via email on email@example.com or call + 44 (0)1274 471274 to let us know about the fault and we will help you select an appropriate courier for the return of the goods.
Once we have verified the fault we'll issue a replacement or full refund to you via your original payment method and reimburse your reasonable return carriage costs.
Damage in Transit
If any items were damaged in transit, please report it to us within 5 working days. If the items are visibly damaged on receipt, please refuse the delivery and call + 44 (0)1274 471274 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to let us know about the damage.
If you notice the damage later, please contact us first via email on email@example.com or call + 44 (0)1274 471274 to let us know about the damage and we will help you choose an appropriate courier for the return of the goods. Items should be returned in their original packaging complete with all documentation.

Item Missing or Incorrect Item
If there is an item missing from your order or the wrong item has been sent, then please call + 44 (0)1274 471274 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. as soon as possible and in any event within 5 working days, and we will do our best to resolve the issue.
